STDs (it weirds me out too) and EIGHTEEN

Nine months into our engagement = nine months into wedding researching online. I'm not going to lie. Even after nine months, every time I see posts about DIY STDs, I'm a bit taken aback. If you didn't know (which I sure didn't before our engagement), STD = Save the Date. It's a horrible acronym.

In related (but non-horrible) news, I officially ordered our save the date postcards today. According to Martha, The Knot, and all the other wedding experts, we're a bit late on these since we're at 5 months (as of tomorrow!) and the save the dates should be sent at 6 months before the wedding. Oh well, I believe our guests will be tickled pink to receive this postcard and then the invitations only a few months later. Right? Right. :)

I have about four outfits I still need to post from over the weekend, but this is what I wore today. We'll call it eighteen, even though chronologically it's really about twenty-three. I won't tell if you don't. I've been eager to wear these flowery tights I bought a few months ago and had yet to open.

Shirt: Old Navy
Cardigan: Gap
Belt: Forever 21
Skirt: Target
Tights: Target
Shoes: Target

  1. What a cute STD! (Agreed...the worst acronym ever)
My friend just bought those tights the other night! I'll have to send her your link so she can see how you wore them. So cute, I love them, you look adorable!

  2. I love your Save the Date! And your tights too!

  3. I have never heard that - what a terrible coincidence of letters. I love the chalkboard save the date!
We won't tell anyone the late postings ;) You are looking good in 23, I mean 18.

    The Auspicious Life

  4. Congratulations! And thanks for clarifying that unfortunate acronym...

  5. Your STDs are so cute! (I can't say that's a sentence that I think very often, thank goodness!) We did something similar for our thank you cards and they were a big hit. And don't worry, no one knows the 6 month rule except brides.

Comment? Yes please! Thanks for your input! :)
