This view every morning? Yes please!
Mr. Lopac visited school. He is still getting cards telling him he is the best teacher from my students. Hmm... I keep suggesting he go back to school for teaching!
Not the best hula-hooper, but he's trying!
Great readers read EVERYWHERE!

Telula and I have been frequently hitting the pavement, in celebration of warmer weather.

I might be celebrating the snow melting, but she's celebrating there's still some left.

c'mere Lula
This rubber chicken was a wedding present to Christopher from a cousin, poking fun at a childhood nickname. Christopher decided it would be perfect for Telula, and she adopted it as her baby. She carries it everywhere, even to bed at night. She licks it and cries when it squeaks. It's ridiculously cute.

I love St. Patrick's Day. My grandmother, Nonie, is 100% Irish, so it has always been a big deal in our family. I didn't get to see my Irish grandma this year on the big day, so I celebrated with Christopher and at school instead.
My amazing teacher's aide made shamrock cookies for the entire school! She is also very Irish.

Happy St. (Christopher) Patrick Day!

Our once-a-year Shamrock shake treat. I added oreos to mine!
Every party has a pooper, that's why we invited you... love you, Lulabird.

...the girls will play!
After I left the airport, I discovered the donut shop opened at 5:00AM! Early morning score!
I also realized that ESPN is not our only channel! Look who's in control of the remote now!
(not that Jersey Shore is an upgrade... ha!)
Telula and I slept in the guest room while Christopher was gone.
(I'm a weird sleeper. I don't like sleeping in big rooms alone.)
I "borrowed" his mug for the week.
Telula made her sad face because she missed her daddy so much.

...we say goodbye. Christopher had a business trip to Washington DC this week. It was our longest time being apart since we got married. As excited as I was for him to go on the trip and see DC (his first time!), I dreaded him leaving. I truly, 100% adore being around him. Even if we're not actively talking or doing something, we're still together. His presence makes me happy.
burrito date with the best-looking guy in the world
While Christopher packed, Telula and I played.
Then we distracted him from packing until we had to hurry up and try to fall asleep.
Our alarm went off at 3:00AM to get ready to go to the airport. I don't think I have ever had to get up so early!
4:00AM photo op at the airport. The things you do for love!

I missed you sweetheart. I am glad you had such a great opportunity to go to the conference and see DC, but I am so, so happy to have you home with me... where you belong.

Mis-Match day at school, as part of Reading Month activities
Mis-Match everyday
Found this rainbow gem of a dress while thrifting. I tried to figure out when I could possibly wear it, but sadly left without it.
New go-to hairdo found here

It took a special "Mis-Match" day at school to make me realize that my clothes don't usually match. When my students asked why I didn't mis-match my clothes for the day, I realized that to them, I looked the same as always. Since I haven't been called out on getting dressed in the dark, I'm going to take that as I am a pretty smooth pattern mixer.

{OR, my 6 - 7-year-old students and my husband are too polite to point out the obvious}

...of winter. I hope.
Husband's on the roof shoveling snow? We've become Yoopers.
winter treats / cuties are NOT just for kids
My whole school learned how to collect sap. On the last day of the month, we're going to make pancakes to go with our syrup...yum!

Today flew by, as most Mondays do this [school] year.
Hazy views from my snowy commute . . .
Witnessing my first sunrise of the new year was a great start to my morning.
I channeled Zooey Deschanel with my outfit today.
Hats off to you.
My obsession for the past few months... I can't resist!
Mondays call for easy dinners. Tonight, a frozen pizza doctored up with fresh peppers and onions and Greek seasoning was our quick meal of choice.
