Our first wedding anniversary is coming up! (!!!!) On April 30, 2012, we will be married for one whole year.

I explained to Christopher that there are traditional anniversary gifts, as well as modern ones. I think I am going to try to find something traditional this year for C.

This rubber chicken was a wedding present to Christopher from a cousin, poking fun at a childhood nickname. Christopher decided it would be perfect for Telula, and she adopted it as her baby. She carries it everywhere, even to bed at night. She licks it and cries when it squeaks. It's ridiculously cute.

KISS ME, I'M IRISH (REALLY)

I love St. Patrick's Day. My grandmother, Nonie, is 100% Irish, so it has always been a big deal in our family. I didn't get to see my Irish grandma this year on the big day, so I celebrated with Christopher and at school instead.

My amazing teacher's aide made shamrock cookies for the entire school! She is also very Irish.

After I left the airport, I discovered the donut shop opened at 5:00AM! Early morning score!

THIS IS THE WAY

...we say goodbye. Christopher had a business trip to Washington DC this week. It was our longest time being apart since we got married. As excited as I was for him to go on the trip and see DC (his first time!), I dreaded him leaving. I truly, 100% adore being around him. Even if we're not actively talking or doing something, we're still together. His presence makes me happy.

Then we distracted him from packing until we had to hurry up and try to fall asleep.

 Our alarm went off at 3:00AM to get ready to go to the airport. I don't think I have ever had to get up so early!

I missed you sweetheart. I am glad you had such a great opportunity to go to the conference and see DC, but I am so, so happy to have you home with me... where you belong.
