Nonie, Grandpa, Benji (my lil bro), & I
Nonie lives about an hour away from me. I lived in the same town as her for about a year and a half. We had Thursday night dates that included:
- visiting Grandpa at his nursing home and watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, & the news with him (she visited him all day, everyday..true love at its finest)
- a homemade dinner or going out to eat at her all-time favorite restaurant, Taco Bell
- watching Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy. While I tried not to blush, she would announce for all the risque scenes, "Oh, Angie. Isn't this silly?!"
Our Thursday night dates were so simple, but so wonderful. I wish we still lived close, so I could still see her several times a week.
I visited her this weekend for her birthday. We went out to lunch, watched Hallmark movies and The Waltons, and went to mass together. I sang Happy Birthday to her over a chocolate snickers cheesecake. We talked about my wedding plans and memories of our loved ones. I had a Super Bowl party to go to when I got back home, but to be honest, I didn't want to leave. I would have rather watched it with Nonie (but couldn't because of school today). Oh, how I love her.
Since I only stayed at Nonie's for the weekend, I tried to pack light. For the first time ever, I think I succeeded. You could say this was a proud moment. I wore the same dress two days in row, but it totally worked. I think.

P.S. I sent Christopher this picture, in hopes it would convince him we needed another puppy:
He's unconvinced. Considering this picture was taken 30 seconds before this pup pooped on me, you could say I'm not quite certain either.
LOVE how you double mixed that dress! I am seriously amazed right now!
ReplyDeleteGood job! I would've never guessed it was the same dress, until I read about it! That is talent girl, you totally made great outfits, love both!
